Stylistically it's a 1950's dress but the fabric feels 70's-ish. This halter dress looks homemade to us and the assumption is, that it was made in the 70's from a 50's pattern. In any event, this is a gorgeous dress. Finely gathered halter bodice with spaghetti straps underneath. Rich red ribbon trim below the bust and as a removable tie belt at the waist. Dress has a full skirt (shown here with a crinoline... not included). Side metal zipper. Chiffon overlay, Lined in acetate.
Decade: 1970's probably sewn by a pattern of the 50's
Waist: 24 1/2’’
Length: 45 1/2"
BEST FITS: XXS, XS or S (see measurements)
CONDITION: Good to Excellent Vintage Condition
Freshly hand laundered. Minor underarm yellow. There are four small yellow spots on the bodice and a couple scattered on the skirt, blends into the pattern, hardly visible. Some stress to the zipper seam at the waist. 1/2" of the rear waist seam (near the zipper) needs to be restitched. Presents absolutely beautifully.
NOTE: We have added this dress also to the 1950's section because it's style represents the era as well.
